So far today I've:

• Had breakfast with lisanys
  
• Went to IKEA and bought a new desk that should work a lot better than the hand-me-down I've had for many years
  
• Tore down two giant boxes that were still sitting in the living room from the printer and Strich Labs packaging supplies
  
• Received the delivery from IKEA of desk, bins for storage, and lighting

the gas company just came and turned my gas back on! YAY! finally! *bounces lots*

still no hot water... gas person came yesterday evening, and discovered i share my gas meter with my next door neighbour. they can't turn the gas on until they check the appliances in both my unit and my neighbours. my neighbours were not home (as usual), so they couldn't turn it on ( Read more... )

after dealing with my condo corp some more (who were quite mean about the whole situation and basically blamed it on me and accused me of lying to them), it turns out the local gas company shut my gas off on Thursday because they found a leak and i wasn't home for them to come in and inspect my gas appliances. well, i've ruled out the igniter, flame sensor, high limit switch, and air pressure switch. looks like it's the gas valve itself, as everything electrical is working fine. repair person coming tomorrow. no bath for me tonight ( Read more... )
