happy holidays!
last weekend we were in MA for christmas with my family. this weekend we're heading to NY for new years (and christmas) with jared's family. so what happened this year? well my husband is getting us a cat. yay! my parents and myself chipped in and got jared and myself a weekend getaway to cooperstown for the baseball hall of fame. it's going to be ridiculously fun. that's in march. besides that we got some random fun little things. mom and dad got us some decorations, ornaments and i finally got my baking sheets. in addition to the cat, jared got me a dancing mumble from happy feet, why men fall asleep after sex (which is a great random book), and some other fun little things.
i'm sure there will be a bunch more holiday fun this weekend. hopefully the weather will stay good so we won't have to travel in rain/snow/etc. although we've seen ONE snow flurry and I'd like to see more, not this weekend.
this week has been really great work and commute-wise. work is scarce which i love and what does come in doesn't take very long to do, which i love after the holidays. plus my co-workers are taking a few days off, so it's mostly me all by my lonesome all week. pretty enjoyable. and the train isn't too packed, i can actually get a seat w/o searching for one or asking some rude person to move over so i can sit.
all-in-all i really like the holiday season :)
