the camera don't lie

whenever they tell someone on American Idol that they are going home, the emotions are always extreme. after the being told that they must leave, the newly "kicked-off" contestant is asked to re-sing a song that they are normally told is probably the reason why they got kicked off in the first place. after all of this, the "kicked-off" individual or group stands together and watches a recap of their entire time during American Idol. they play clips of when they got chosen, normally screaming "i'm going to Hollywood," and so on. you typically see the contestants doing dances, putting on makeup, and other forms and fashions of looking intense throughout their time. this season, during this sort of "slideshow/movie clip" they have played a song called "bad day" by daniel powter. i love the lyrics to this song and the emotions that come with the melody. seriously, every time that i watch one of the contestants get kicked off, i become a ball of emotion and almost start crying even if i barely knew their name. the movie clips just get me, and when adding the song, it's all over from there. lately i have been playing this song through my head and been seeing clips of my life, whether it be relationships i have had with people, trials i have gone through, or random times. i just keep singing this song in my head, and seeing my life flashing through my mind. it's quite interesting. and here are the lyrics:

"Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day"
