okay so I'm a little worried

We did not evacuate. According to the information our county is under mandatory evacuations with the exceptions of the Cities of Alvin and Pearland, where I live. So we are going to stick it out here. We're not so worried about anything else except the fact that there is a telephone pole with power lines right in our back yard. Here's hoping the electricity does out before the pole comes down, that is only if it comes down. However they have done a lot to secure this pole significantly since my mother pointed it out to everyone.

When we bought the house they did not tell us about the pole being there and we only realized it after we moved in. In addition they tried to send the property values of our house sky high before my mother wrote them a very lengthy letter and sent them pictures telling them "Hey, we have power lines in our back yard. That decreases the property value."

Well, I don't know what will happen. It may still shift or we may get the dirty side they just don't know. I'll be posting every so often starting tomorrow evening.

To all of the rest of my fellow Gulf Coast Texans, stay safe!

Edit:

Apparently Pearland is now under a voluntary evacuation so father finally made the decision to go albeit sometime tomorrow morning. I'll most likely update when we get to my sisters apartment.
