GUESS WHAT!!!!!
i am LEEAAVVIINNGG!!!!!! i leave on saturday for a whole YEAR!!! i am doing a volunteer program...we have training in oxford, michigan until the middle of august, and then i get sent somewhere...here are the options that i know of:
Oxford (i would be sooo depressed if i got sent there.)
Chicago (not bad...it's a good city, but a little too close to home)
Rhode Island (either working with all the consecrated...i would puke....or working at overbrook which is a girls boarding school...could be fun.)
New York (i just found out that this was a possibility like 2 days ago, and i think it would be AWESOME)
D.C.(a great city, and with my favorite consa, so i think i would like it)
Atlanta (a great group of people to work with, and a warm climate...)
Naples, Fla (wow.)
Texas (either houston or dallas or both, i can't remember. but that might be cool, actually.)
St. Louis (eh...)
Minnesota (please God, no.)
Calgary (too cold)
San Jose (cali! woot!)
Monterey (can you say...mucho calor?)
Mexico City (um, probably not the best for my coworker year,if ANY of you know what i'm talking about, which i don't think you do, so never mind.)
Guadalajara (i think.)
Cotija (that would be like.....so weird)
and that's all i can think of right now. there might be more places, i don't know, but it's all good.....i'm really excited though...oh, and we are supposed to live in poverty? what's that? lol seriously, they said that means we can't bring a lot of clothes and stuff. um, ok. i have like....20 skirts, 3 shirts with each skirt, who KNOWS how many shoes...this could be a problem. so, anyway, i'm way excited, but sad too, because i am leaving a lot behind. i mean, my fam.....they are so depressed and i will miss them sooo much....my friends, an awesome school, my own bed....but hey, it's only a year! i'll be back before you all even know i was gone. and i know that i will receive so much more than what i could ever know. God is never outdone in generosity!
