(no subject)
Thoughts:
1. We got a new kitchen last week. Today was the first time I cooked anything on the stovetop. It's one of those cool black glass ceramic ones. They look awesome. I managed to almost break it on my first go. See they stain/crack/generally break very easily. My Mum's been going on about how I'm not to let water boil over onto it. So when I dripped a bit of water on it I quickly wiped it up with the tea towel. Thoughtful and considerate thing to do right? WRONG! Apparently hot stovetop + tea towel = TEA TOWEL MELTED ONTO STOVE TOP! My Mum literally almost cried when I dobbed myself in. I managed to clean it, but how darn impractical is that? I have a stovetop that I can't get wet...or wipe up.
2. I finally went to the specialist last Wednesday, to have my leg's checked for varicose veins. After all that stress at the prospect of having my legs injected with soapy fluid in an attempt to destroy the dodgy veins, I found at that the procedure wasn't needed at all. I just have big veins. It's quite nice to have a lady standing there saying "My you have such lovely legs". I know she was talking about the internal structures, but heck, let me dream.
3. I bought a new laptop. It was an epic quest. I drove around for two hours on Thursday and three hours on Saturday. I finally picked one, but it wasn't available anywhere. So I got a different model. When I opened the box I found that I in fact had a model I hadn't even considered buying, the boxes had gotten mixed up. Turns out that this was a better one anyway (a windows experience 4 instead of 3.1...whatever that means). Thus I have a shiny new laptop.
4. Been working in a law firm. Can't be bothered to put info here. Only that it's not as easy as I first thought, because the bludgy relaxation of the first week was only because the boss wasn't there.
