I am the first, well I'll be. Anyway a bit of trivia, Garrett as he is the show isn't the first place I remember seeing him. He was in an 80's show called "Wiseguy" where he played Vinnie's handler Frank but what is interesting that David Marciano was in an episode. During the Sonny Steelgrave Arc, here is info.

#4 "The Loose Cannon"
David Marciano [ Lorenzo Steelgrave ]

Sonny's nephew Lorenzo (he turns out to be a fake) comes over from Italy. Sonny and Vinnie meet with Cecil Demont but it turns out to be a setup to kill Sonny that fails and causes Sonny and Cecil to go to war. Lorenzo kills Cecil and teams up with Cecil's right hand man to steal from Sonny. Lorenzo goes after Vinnies girlfriend (Gina) and Vinnie ends up killing him.

Thing about David M is that he was in shows you don't remember and it's suprising when you do. Hmm, wonder if they remember meeting ecah other previously to Due South... Lastly, DM needs to work more mainstream. I'm done. :)

I know I'd seen the guy playing Garrett as well, thanks for letting me know one possibility of where. I'm pretty sure I used to watch "Wiseguy".

It is kind of neat that David Marciano was on an episode of it. :D

DM was in an episode of one of the CSI shows maybe last season. Can't get much more mainstream than those. :D

Thanks for commenting!

I really enjoyed this ep. I'd remembered seeing it after Garret's vision, but I honestly couldn't remember if he died in that pit or not, so I was kinda on pins and needles waiting for Fraser to pull him out. *g*

I kind of wondered what Fraser's point in mentioning Frannie to Ray was, if he was trying to protect her reputation. I got the feeling that, no matter how bad he felt about it, he was using Ray to tell Frannie something Fraser himself couldn't do. And I think that's why he offered to walk her home. Not only was it the chivalrous thing to do *g*, he could see that she was hurting.

I actually liked scruffy Ray in this ep. *g* And I really loved that he seemed to just go with the flow of believing that Fraser remembered all those details, so they were looking for a transient with clean fingernails who smells like chili.Even though I don't slash Fraser and RayV, I was wearing my slashy goggles during this ep just for you *g* and I could see that Ray was torn between protecting his sister and wanting Fraser for himself ( ... )

That was *very* nicely dramatic, that was!! I loved Ray's quick thinking in hooking the chain around Fraser's belt.

I kind of wondered what Fraser's point in mentioning Frannie to Ray was, if he was trying to protect her reputation.

You notice that Fraser didn't try to talk to *anyone* else, though Elaine apparently came and talked to him and he refused to say anything.

But look, we *all* know that Fraser turned Frannie down, right. And maybe, when he did so, she cried, or told him that she had feelings for him or something. So then he's afraid that, with her emotions engaged, she was hurt by his refusal. And if she went to Ray and told Ray that Fraser had hurt her...well, Fraser wanted to explain. But as soon as it was clear that Frannie'd said nothing, well then it became a matter of honor to protect the lady's reputation.

Does that make sense? I haven't had my coffee yet.

I actually liked ( ... )

::chin quiver:: Me neither. sassyinkpen said she'd watch with me if possible, so I need to see if we can find a time some time this week.

I did, and I will :) I'm all yours.. Let me know when you want to watch it, and I'll see if I'm free then, if not we can figure something out.

Umm...I'm wicked booked during the week...is there some time on Saturday that would be good?

I can watch with you and get all reassured that I'm not going to *die*, then watch again on Sunday morning for the notes and comments. That way you don't have to put up with the annoyance of pausing and going back all the time.

See I told you this was a good one ;-)

You were *absolutely* right!! That was a very enjoyable episode.

I loved the psychic element to the kidnap story. That's a theme I *rarely* get tired of. And it was very well done. I really did feel Scraggly Guy's pain at having these visions.

Note how her story gets more elaborate the more she tells it from first saying when she dropped her coat Fraser looked like squirrel you’d be about to hit to later on describing Fraser giving her the once over.

Yeah, I did notice that. I think the truest thing she said was the squirrel analogy. :D I bet he totally did look like that. I don't think she was thinking about her brother at all while she was telling folks. I think it was her way of staking a claim on Fraser--she's got no connection to the folks at Fraser's place of work or you can just bet she'd have been there bothering Jasmine and the Ninny.

Having said that the scene with Ray and Francesca in the interrogation room is so poignant.Yes, that was...that was really amazing. And it was nice ( ... )

:-) I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'd hate to have built it up and it be a disappointment.

I think you're right. Poor Fraser. He does get like that around her when she isn't half naked.

he's got no connection to the folks at Fraser's place of work or you can just bet she'd have been there bothering Jasmine and the Ninny.

I am honestly surprised she didn't shout it from the rooftops with a megaphone. Poor Fraser though I bet he was so uncomfortable and yet he's too much of a gentlemen to say anything.

Yes, that was...that was really amazing. And it was nice to get a little depth to Frannie beyond her crush on Fraser. Nice to see Ray trying to protect his sister, too. We usually see him exasperated with her (and rightly so), so it was nice to see that there is a lot of care and love there.Yeah there was a lot of depth in that scene. I think it’s ( ... )

This is a pretty decent episode - not huge on my list, but certainly not one I'd get rid of. It's got some lovley moments ( ... )

I really liked it, but, as I was telling aingeal8c the whole psychic involved in the criminal case is generally a trope I enjoy. (Except with the TS episode that's coming on Friday, where it just ticks me off.)

I really was horrified at Frannie blabbing all over the station to anyone who would listen, while Fraser is steadfastly refusing to tell even Ray that nothing happened. *sigh*

I know I was supposed to find that funny, and on some level I did (I mean the squirrel analogy was really funny, and very apt, and Welsh asking where the wolf was was also funny), but it bugged me also because honestly she really hadn't out to be talking about that.

Beau Starr also was in one of the later first season eps of Nero Wolfe. I gather they had a troupe of actors and reused them in various parts. I can't remember which ep, but I very much remember seeing him. (And he was in an episode of Riptide as well, looking much younger!)

The reason Fraser doesn't say anything is that if he says "no, we didn't sleep together" then when he is silent it's as good as saying, "yes, we did." Twisted, but completely not made up. (Elaine said it best -- "and you believed her?")

I think Fraser may have asked to walk her home in a deluded suppression of his Inherent Gayness, now that he has Ray's "blessing." You know, "Ray's anger is no longer an impediment, therefore I should want to walk her home, so I will even though I don't want to (because I'm gay)."

And could I also make a request? Just one screencap of FBI 1? (He's Agent Ford, the one with the beak of a nose) Please? Pretty please with sugar and fic on top? Anything you want, I promise.

Hey!! I got four for you, since I didn't know what angle you wanted and the shadows were a little strange.

I made a post with the screencaps here.
