The bakery downstairs from their apartment is open at 4am?? Wow! I don't think there's much of anything open at 4 am in my area.
I know a guy who used to work at a bakery and he had to be there at 4 am, but I don't know if they actually opened the store that early. However, I don't understand why Blair didn't just stay there and use their phone. Whoever was working there must have wondered what Blair was doing crouched in front of the window. :) He mostly likely knows the people that work there. I can just picture he and Jim stopping in now and then for donuts or bagels. He could have just asked them if he could hide out in the back and call the cops.
Also, I can't figure out how the loft got trashed, since the bad guys ran out the front door to chase after Blair, and they wouldn't have come back because the cops were on the way. When would they have been able to search the place?
