last night, alison, bridget, and i went on an adventure. after spending hours deciphering the cryptic message of an ancient icon, we trekked up the dark and ever-treacherous Partridge Mountain, only to be assaulted by a crazed psycho at its summit. he was fast and bizarre-looking--the stuff of legends--but we prevailed. after barely escaping through the bewildering twists and turns of the surrounding woods, we emerged in civilization at last. we had one last fling with off-road driving before kissing our exciting evening goodnight.*
*we went to allie's house for four hours, four minutes of which was spent trying to figure out the lyrics of "smells like teen spirit". allie's house on partridge lane has a winding, downhill driveway that we had to climb to get to alison's car, since she parked at the top. there, justin shoe ran after the car as we started to drive away, and then he jumped on the hood. we navigated nissequoque, and on 25A, alison made a rare driving mistake and drove over a very rocky curb while turning right.
if you're in ap lit, this might help: i e-mailed ms. baione, asking if we were supposed to write a little story about the person (like in "araby" or "eveline") for our character portrait, because i don't know about you, but i was confused about the format. her whole e-mailed reply read, "Yes."
