Seemingly, you couldn't make the connection between the two. One is the spiritual leader of a billion people while another is a comic who largely bases his act on his drug exploits and speaks with a demeanor of a person intoxicated.
Two icons in my life have passed away within the past few days and this entry is just to remember them.
The Pope was to so many a man to look up to. He had an indelible character and has been the only Pope I had ever known. He let people really know who he was, and wasn't too shy or elite to let the public know that he WAS a man and suffered the same as all of us. The way he chose to pass on was filled with class and I will forever respect and admire this man as long as I live. Those of you who are Catholic should do the same.
Mitch Hedberg was 37 when he died; far too young for such a comical genius. His brand of off-beat humor and general ramblings typically inspires my own senseof humor in my life.
I love fruity pebbles.
