Catching up on life

Lemme catch you up to speed on things with us

We're still looking at moving to Williams Lake. It's more the when of it that we're looking at. If Williams Lake doesn't work out we're also looking at 100 Mile, LLH, and of course PG. It mostly depends on work. We'd prefer Williams Lake to PG but, if that's what's in the cards, then so be it.

Lately we've been doing a lot of reading. Ross has his Patrick O'Brien books and I have my Tamar Meyers' Pennsylvania Dutch Series. We've gone through them rather quickly however. I've also been doing a lot of reading on Venetian/Italian Renaissance. We've also started to hit the flea market and get VHS movies. lol. It's kinda silly but there's a guy there that sells them for $2 a peice. And when you buy a few they throw in a couple free. Our last shop bulked up our Disney collection. Lol. We got Cinderella, Hercules, Robin Hood *the animal version*, the jungle book and others. We really need to have kids :P

My health has gotten better (At least away from work). I'm walking home everyday and it's great exersize. It's pretty much 50 min walk up hill for 85% of the way. :) the allergies are good but I've started really sneezing and coughing again. I'm going to have to figure out what's causing it. I haven't been taking my inhalers (I haven't needed them) but today I really regretted it. I had 3 or 4 major coughing fits that took 5 minutes to recover from. It's kinda scary not being able to breath. But I'm getting better. I've changed what I eat and am getting more exersize and I'm hoping that I'll be able to get rid of my allergies all together.

Work's good. I'm off probation and am now an official employee. Whee. It's stressful and crazy but I work with a good bunch of people and it's getting better. I've gotten the early shift this month (which means I start at 5 am for this month then go back to 6 am for the next 2 months) which really isn't bad. I get off work at 1:30 this month and 2:30 pm for may and june. In July I'm going to reapply for that position. I was told that would be okay and the boss seems fine with
Ross's work is good. He's stressed out from it (Crazy Napoleonic boss) but he loves to build things so it's all good.

With all the chaos of work and life we decided last weekend to go camping (we both worked the stat) and so Friday afternoon we hopped into our trusty Ford and headed to the hills. We found snow. More than that we got stuck in snow. Lol. we had to have a guy come tow us out of there. Some very nice people on snow mobiles came and they were going to pull us out but the truck came so that was cool.

So, there we are with a car FULL of camping gear and no where to go. So we drove around the valley for another 3 and a half hours before stumbling upon an amazing site. It's up a forestry road in Oyama. We didn't make it to Oyama lake. the place we found is this look out spot that when we took a moment to check out literally took our breath away. It overlooks Wood lake, Oyama and the other lake. It's quiet (aside from the odd ATV) and we were left alone most of the time. However, because it was hot I got a sunburn while wearing nothing more than some shorts and a tank top. OOUCH!... Oh well.

It was a very relaxing trip that didn't cost us a whole lot. I read 2 and a half books up there and snoozed a lot. Ross got energetic and after cleaning all the shotgun shells (it's popular for skeet shooting up there) decided to chop wood before falling asleep in the sun.

We're going to Coronet this weekend. It should be fun. We're heading down and taking Dawn with us. It's fun working in the same building with her. We took our breaks together today and discussed what we're bringing and what all we're going to need.

Other than that life is good. We're trying to call our friends more often (If we don't call you, you can definitely call us :) and are working on keeping in touch with our friends better.

Well, I should go. I'm sewing some stuff for the event and should get off my bum.
