Working Titles
Wondering how many of you have a tendency to have working titles for your fanfic that you use to refer to them while writing but that don't end up being the actual title of the fic. Kind of like having pet names for your fic, isn't it?
Very seldom do my working titles end up the final title. I tend to refer to the fic I'm currently working on as "Bruised" even though I already know that the published title is going to be "The Tree Remembers". "Bruised" tends to set the writing mood for me though. 'Cause by the time this fic is finished John is going to be bruised physically, mentally and emotionally, and I'm now referring to this particular John muse as "John poor John". LOL
And if you do use working titles, do you still tend to refer to the fics, even years later, by those working titles?
Just curious, and procrastinating in getting back to writing because it's a filler scene but I've got to write the filler scene before I can get back to John poor John. ;)
