I'm sure I've mentioned it in this journal before, but just in case I haven't: I have a phobia of spiders. It is kind of on a continuum: it ranges from very intense/severe to fairly light (compared to the opposite option)/not-so-bad-but-still-a-bit-afraid. interesting indeed! i too have an intense fear of spiders. i can tolerate certain ones... like daddy long-legs for instance because they just sort of sit there and mind their own business. but every summer, aka wolf spider season, i have major issues. ack my skin is crawling even talking about the subject so i think i'll stop, but i wanted to mention that i read one time that fears of certain things, like animals, bugs, whatever - can sometimes be subconscious manifestations of a fear within ourselves that we don't want to face. i don't know if you're into astrology or anything but i am a Scorpio, and obviously arachnids are one of the key animal symbols for Scorpio. i always try to remember that when i have a battle with a nasty spider in the house... what about it is reflecting something in me that i want to kill so badly?! i dunno. i'll stop rambling now.

i have seen a lot of pix of wolf spiders but never actually seen one before. as neat as they are (that is the science nerd in me talking, lol) i would have a heart attack if i saw one and i was like i was last night. oh man.

i am definitely interested in astrology although i don't know all that much about it so far. i'm a sagittarius (spelling?) but a friend of mine who's into astrology says she thought i was scorpio before she knew when my birthday is.

I freak out over ANY insect. I once wasted like half a bottle of hair spray on a tiny spider haha.

i used hairspray on a small spider once too, lol. it temporarily turned our carpet purple. oops.

i'm not sure what to think of me buying noe either. lol.

i had a spanish teacher in high school was afraid of flying a kite and of grasshoppers, lol.
