What are the consequences if Sapphire and Steel fail?

Do you think Time is an opportunist or does it carefully select its attack so that the victims are easily manipulated (like children and old men) in order to gain more of an advantage?

What situation, real or not, do you wish Sapphire and Steel had tackled during the series.

What do you think PJ Hammond was trying to say with the series?  Or was he trying to say anything at all?

What do you think about the symbolism of the missing faces in this assignment? Is this harkening back to the thought by some cultures that cameras steal souls. Could it be argued that that is exactly what is going on here?

And on another note, how the heck did Sapphire and Steel get out of that photo? I never really 'got' that.

What do Sapphire and Steel do between assignments? Do they go one after another? Are they permitted downtime or would they even need it?

If Sapphire, Steel or one of the other agents is destroyed (assuming this is possible), does the next agent assume the same visage or does (s)he look different? Would the other agents know there's been a replacement made or would it even matter?

How do you think Sapphire and Steel (along with the other Elements) mark Time. If they are immortal, do they even have a way to mark the passage of Time... It seems as if they don't always show up on Assignment at the same time... how do they know when to go.
