I am the type of person who appreciates order. I love things where they are supposed to be and categorization. I am the type of person who loves categorization for the sole reason of destruction. With the backdrop of impossible order, the chaos and destruction that results are extreme. It amuses me. I was most likley one of those kids who played with the toy blocks, building them up on a tower only so I could jump on the floor to see the blocks fall. I like to do experiments, to do things differently once a while. Every single time I have a routine, it is slightly altered the next week and I am doing something new. There's never a reprieve of this change. Sometimes, the change is minor and the public has no idea. Other times, the change is that of such that I gauge people's reactions. I don't manipulate people. I ask for honest answers.
Today, I did an experiment of the latter.
I never usually wear makeup in ordinary life. Today, I did. Foundation, eyeshadow, concealer, eyeliner, the whole bit. I wanted to see what would happen. The responses I recieved were muted. I had to ask mama about the makeup. She was concerned that I would start wearing it daily. Yet, I asked if it was as bad as Jenn's was when she first started. The housekeeping kid who has (had?) a crush on me stopped me twenty minutes into my shift. We talked for a good while. The guy who works at the Body Language kiosk was actually the first who told me that my makeup was quite obvious and I did not do so well in blending the foundation/concealer into my nose. Embarrassed, I ran to the bathroom and rubbed it off with toilet paper. Later, I asked Caitlin about it. She said that it was okay. So, that was a failed experiment. I actually had someone tell me that I looked like I was 25 years old. Great. Five years older than I am. Lovely.
Okay, failed experiment. I may go back to being oblivious about the whole makeup world. I may try the experiment again tomorrow, but under different amounts. We shall see how curious I feel.
Cold update: It has disappeared. I feel like I usually do, with the exception of my voice. That is still gone, sadly. I tried drinking apple juice, but it did not really help. I may have to do a silent day tomorrow. It'd be hard, considering that Mary, Amber, and possibly Anna will be in karate tomorrow. I'll have to talk to them. Okay, maybe I'll be silent all day tomorrow with the exception of those two hours.
