Here's a Youtube copy of an animated version of the Daniel X graphic novel. It's nicely done, IMHO. There are two more, here and here, but they're not exactly animations, just scenes form the novel but with voice acting and sound effects, but they're done nicely as well ^_^ There's even an audio extract read by Heroes' Peter Petrelli (Milo Ven-something x_x Sorry Peter if I forget the surname of your actor ^^;), and he reads awesomely too xD
>> LATEST GRAPHIC NOVEL = Daniel X: Alien Hunter by James Patterson
I bought it because it's much cheaper compare to other western graphic novels that I see. (Graphic novels with illustrations like The Sandman (by Neil Gaiman) cost around or more than 700+ pesos and Western novels in manga style like Odd Thomas (by Dean Koontz) cost around 400+ pesos) so seeing this one, 300+ pesos, and it's even colored unlike Pendragon (art is much better too), I didn't think twice in buying it xD Besides, the plot caught my interest a lot. Come on, aliens? power of creation? I can't resist that xD Haha. This one had attracted me more than Ben-10 had.

Anywayz, of course I'm done with it (read it since some time early last month actually). To be honest, it wasn't as good as I expected it to be, story-wise. Yes, the power of creation thing had been creative, and I like it that the main character isn't too perfect. I also get to like a certain character there (but he died, baaaw ;_;) But, somehow it still gave me the typical-young-superhero-story vibes x_x In other words, it was promising but it didn't meet my expectations. ^^;

Though the story and some of the characters didn't impress me much, I have no regrets because the art was pretty cool ^_^ And there was a pretty blue butterfly! Kyaaaa! And it had been an enjoyable read ^_^ But I don't think I'll plan on reading the novel version, but I might have second thoughts if there'll be another graphic novel. I'm definitely watching the movie version if it turned out nice xD (yes, I've heard it's really gonna be having a movie, like James Patterson's other young adult book: Maximum Ride)

>>> NOVEL FINISHED = Red Dragon by Thomas Harris
To be honest, I hurried in reading this because I wanted to read my new novels as soon as possible xD I didn't have high expectations on it anymore because Lecter wasn't the main villain ^^; But I guess my expectations had become too low, because it's actually pretty good ^_^ I wasn't that satisfied with the ending but I admit that it had taken me by surprise xD (thrillers that can surprise me are good, imo, haha). I prefer to read the novels focused on Lecter next, but it seems that I need to read the sequel first in order to be able to relate on the later books in case it'll make references x_x

But . . . from spoilers, it seems that the Silence of the Lambs (the sequel) is the same with Red Dragon, only that there's a different cop for a main character and villain x_x That lost my motivation to read more Lecter novels x_x
Besides, there are many novels I want to read ^^; I guess I'll put Thomas Harris' books in lower priority for now. But if ever I'll be able to watch the movie versions of the Thomas Harris books I haven't read yet and they turned out to be bloody awesome, then I might change my mind xD Hehe.

>>> NOVEL READING = The Separation by Christopher Priest
Ohohohohohoho!!! To those who haven't read my previous novel-related entries, this novel caught my attention because the setting was during the World War 2 (which makes me think of Hetalia! xD) in Britain (nation of my favorite Hetalia character xD) and is centered on the story of British identical twin brothers (I am a twin freak . . . especially to identical male ones *_*) . . . so in other words, the novel's plot is fanservice to me so it caught my attention and have bought it xD Ohohohohohohohoho!!!!!!!

I'm currently in Part 5 (page 201 of 374 pages), so far so good. To be honest, it had been entertaining for me to read because I had Hetalia and twins love in mind xD But to be honest, even without those fandom thoughts, it's pretty good ^_^ Just not as fun ^^; Ehehe.
It's narrated in first person perspective by 2 characters, then there's a modern setting which is narrated in third person POV. It was confusing in a way, because of the narration switching and the timeline shifting, and events aren't narrated chronologically by chapter either. But it was okay, it had not bored me so far (which I find pretty surprising because even though I like world war related stuff, talks about military tactics and stuff sometimes bore me ^^;) and even if I'm spoiled with some events (it was revealed pretty early on about what happened to the other brother), I was still interested on what exactly happened xD I find stories who make me feel like that really impressive xD Hehe.

My biggest complain I guess on this novel I guess is the . . . lack of twin love? xD LOL! The brothers are in disagreements most of them time -_- They keep secrets from one another, and the other twin (the one who isn't narrating, at least not yet) wasn't very nice to his brother T_T I hope he's just being tsundere xD LOL! Anywayz, the narrating twin didn't give me much delight either, but at least he had shown more love compare to his brother. And oh his line in page 131 made me go "fangurl squee" xD I freakin' love twin drama xD It will be spoilery if I mention it though ^^; But to those who don't mind spoilers and have the same twin love, it's this: Joe's death was the worst and most emotional experience of my life and for a time I thought I might never recover from the complex feelings of guilt, lost love and misery.
Rereading that line from that page made me go SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xD
