Since my one-on-one student still hasn't returned to school yet, I am still doing a lot of sitting and reading and substituting at my job. It was my first week working my new job. As always, its never quite what I expected. Its one on one teaching and the kid that was assigned as my student ended up on a temporary leave. As I was dropping off my dear husband at his work place early this morning, our one car (purchased less than 2 months ago) started with the alarming small jerks and squeaks that sent me running back to the auto place. Things I have done lately. I went to see the Norman Rockwell exhibit at the art museum. It was incredible. I loved seeing his self-portrait up close. His later works centered around the shooting of three young civil rights activists were extremely poignant and surprising. I had never seen that side of his work before ( Read more... )
