Schedules are done *collapse*
Because really I spent a great deal of my weekend working on schedules until I couldn't think anymore and thought they were pretty well ready to go this morning. Not so apparently. I had to move many kiddos around to even out classes which wasn't a huge deal but then I had a meeting and after my principal wanted me to stay for another meeting I didn't know was happening. This one about the elective class schedule and how some of the classes are too big because they are only offered once a quarter instead of twice. It is a problem. It's a problem that we had last year and that I've explained to my principal a million times why the class sizes are the way they are and she still doesn't seem to understand. However, choosing 11:15 am the day the schedules need to be done is not so much the time to discuss it. Last week, or ya know, last May, would have been more appropriate. Then of course I had teachers in and out all day complaining about class sizes and needing them changed, the last one at 4:30. Then of course when printing I found that two classes were during the wrong time and had to change that, which really was just the click of a few buttons, not a biggie. I got the impression that my principal was upset about it though. Mistakes happen and at least I caught it before the schedules actually went out. I eventually left work at 7. Several people were there helping me and I feel terrible for ruining their night but I don't know what I would have done without them. Yay for co-workers! Despite all the craziness and running around like a chicken with my head cut off, today was a really good day. One of the better that I've had as of late. Now I just have to wait for the on slot of kids who don't want to be in music or spanish or whatever and then shoo them away. I am looking forward to seeing them tomorrow though and really starting the year despite the fact that I am not ready for it. You should see my office, it's a total mess! But that will all work out in time. I just wanna see my kiddos.
Also my dog is a dork. We have the windows open at night to cool the house since the AC isn't working (it will be fixed tomorrow thank goodness! It is supposed to be 99 degrees!). Anyways Kara the wonder dog was barking and barking and barking at something outside. Probably one of our neighborhood rabbits. Eventually she somehow broke the window screen and jumped through the window. Now I don't mean that the screen gave way. Oh no. There is a rather large dog shaped hole in it, ripped in the center. Thankfully she just went across the street and was barking at another dog and my brother was able to catch her, but geeze. Who knew that she would jump through the window?!? Crazy dog.
Hope everyone has a great week! *HUGEHUGS*
