"I've got a menagerie of tools, but that, unfortunately, isn't one of them."

I live across the hall from some very interesting charaters, who, unfortunately, do not have an electric drill.

I feel like a bored (not quite desperate) housewife because Amanda is off working and I am loafing around and cleaning the kitchen and reading and working aimlessly on projects. And now nothing but the internet can entertain me.
So here is a brief look at what I do when presented with mass amounts of free time:

i made this pillow a few days ago from an old oversized spanish t-shirt. the back is made from a blue pinstiped dress shirt.

I made this pillow even longer ago, from an old t-shirt I took out of the pile of shirts my dad was giving to the goodwill.

this was one a really frumpy sailor coat thing that my grandmother had from when she rode on the clipper the Sea Cloud- or something to that effect. I took it in some and now it is a less frumpy sailor pullover thing.

Traci started making this clutch purse from some scrap denim I had but never finished it. (I hope you don't mind Trace, but I finished it)
inside:

or well almost finished it. it doesn't have a clasp of any sort and I am also thinking it might work better if it had some kind of strap type thing... i don't know- suggestions?

I just made these earings from Izze bottle caps. I think there really might be a market here- I have to test to make sure they don't cut my neck open or anything. but there is Carona everything else... why not matching beer cap earings?

I have also been wandering around the area as I have nothing else to do with my time and found the fabulous unofficial fabric district of boston- aka chauncy st and surrounding streets in chinatown. Luckily, I am more broke than Alex's dishes and didn't come home with bags of gaudy buttons and piles of "$1.50 NO CUT!" fabric samples. My room has gotten messy enough.
I did get some mazing early presents from Amanda's very generous mom:

(I sent her this in an email. I love these fish earings.)
and she was woried they would be too garish. haha.
what next? aplique, making a quilt from my old winter carnival shirts, painting, adding to my wall...
and by then I should be working full time at Borders for the rest of the summer. Much more in line with me then Urban I think.
Haha I just filled up your whole friends page! And it will take forever to load!
I always feel awkward on the twelveth of may.
