It's so much fun to read your thoughts and explanations on what went through your mind as you made your entries. I really enjoy getting into someone's brain and gettin a feel for their creative thought process!
My fave is the Burning Dan piece which has great neg space and lovely coloring. That one is so sweet!
I also really like the Silly piece. Joe has a tendency to make ridiculous expressions, and the text works well with the image!
Thank you :) I think it's the first time the alternatives were worth posting and I didn't scrap them :)
I think this week I really worked hard and proved to myself that practice makes perfect. The more icons you make the more artistic the next ones turn out, and of course the quality rises.
Alas, although I'm really moved and inspired and love what I'm making, so often I feel that in the end my icons don't conform with the ongoing trends so people don't like them very much.
It's good that you make what you like rather than trying to fit someone else's idea of what icons should look like. If you're not having fun, then you've lost the point of the whole process to begin with!
I can't be upset with any of this for a long time anyway, I'll be employed again soon, and won't have time for any of it :) Adulthood sucks. HaHaHa "Eat, drink and make icons, for tomorrow you might be brain dead!" :)
What I mean is - post your entries soon, I need eye candy.
