Yesterday I returned from Christmas Break and since I don't have much to do until classes start on the 9th, I hope to be blogging a bit until then! *all readers laugh* I know I've said that before and it ended up not working out, but this time it probably will because 1) I have the time now, and 2) I drafted/wrote several blog posts over break so I can just tweak those and then post them. We'll see what happens... *smiles*
About an hour ago I went down to the mailroom and I had ten packages waiting for me...the joy of ordering your school books before break! I'm excited about what I have to read for my classes this semester... What Jesus Demands From the World by John Piper, The Pursuit of Holiness by Jerry Bridges, The Jesus I Never Knew by Philip Yancey, Jesus the Messiah: A Survey of the Life of Christ by Robert H. Stein, Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ by John Piper, The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace, Principles of Spiritual Growth by Miles J. Stanford, Gift-Wrapped by God by Linda Dillows and Lorraine Pintus, Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life by Donald S. Whitney and a couple others. Have any of you read any of those? If so...what did you think of them? I also ordered A Severe Mercy by Sheldon Vanauken with some Christmas money...my mom told me that it was the most gut-wrenching book she'd ever read, but that can sometimes be a good thing.
I need to close this and put away all my new books and do a myriad of other little things that need to be done since I'm back...but I was serious about posting more in these next couple days...so I'll be back!
