Little is doing really well. He's extremely dopey, but obviously very happy to be on the good drugs. His jaw looks okay, though sometimes he still coughs and sneezes from the intubation (and/or his collapsed nasal passages), and his nose has bled more than once from that, but he's feeling no pain. Tonight's Evensong was expected to be a trainwreck. We had multiple occasions of "get better NOW or we're not doing this one". Better. Rehearsal was fun. Particularly in the first half. Everyone had the giggles. Stephen apparently always wanted to have a choir do the THX noise/record changing speeds. Silly. We still got out half an hour late, but that's the way; everything seems good for the first half and even great, then people stop paying attention.

Rehearsal this morning was miraculous in some times, strained in others. This afternoon was mostly strained. The Evensong service at 5:30 went well, although Carine made two mistakes and didn't like how the Mendelssohn went. I think part of my problem this time around is that the rep is not as dear to my heart, and the Anglican service is no longer ( Read more... )
