(no subject)
I've been tired and kind of headachey all day, so I really don't have much to say tonight. I have a lot of catching up to do from these past few weekends- life has been busy, but fun- but I think I'm going to put that off just a little bit longer.
Instead, Ran was kind enough to upload video of my performance at Shimmy 3. She also outfitted me with amazing jingly things the day of the performance, because she's lovely like that.
To be perfectly honest, the whole thing is improv. I didn't have a whole lot of time, finances, or motivation (this was the second week into my new job, after all) to put it together as well as I wanted to. If I could've prepped more, it would have been a fully steampunk costume, more exploration in full-body locks and disjointed isolations, less hand-twitchiness that seems to come in on-stage improv... I was generally worried about this one because they usually click faster, I usually get to put a lot more effort in; here, I had to sit back and accept that I'm not a professional yet, and put forward what I could. I'm actually happy with the end result, and I think it stood out among the other performances.
