So what did you think of the Oscar's this year?
I think Atonement was totally snubbed. Well ok fine, the other movies were VERY good as well, but I'm just disappointed because I don't think Atonement got the recognition that it deserved. But anyhoo, Javier Bardem for supporting male, not much of a surprise. I really have to see No Country For Old Men now that it won an Oscar. Maybe I can convince Mr. Conley to show it in class hahah.
Jessie, how cute was James McAvoy when he presented the award?! :D
I have realized that anytime Daniel Day-Lewis starts to make a speech of some sort he goes into this really intricate abstract kind of manner that makes me zone out and then when I finally come to I'm like wth is he talking about? Lol! But his voice is VERY soothing.
Jon Stewart did a good job hosting! He's really funny. Must've made a lot of Republicans mad hahhaa. But I like that he said those things, because that's what he believes in and he's not going to censor himself because he's hosting the Oscar's.
Hmm, what else happened? Enchanted (who's songs I LOVE) lost even though it was 3/5 of the nominations. How embarrassing :X But that song from Once sounded really nice, too.
I'm debating whether or not I want to see all these films for myself and rate them. I def. want to see No Country but I don't know if I want to see Michael Clayton or There Will Be Blood because those are usually movies that I would think are boring. Legal corruption and oil mining? I might end up seeing There Will Be Blood just because of the acting but meh on Michael Clayton. It's not like I've never seen George Clooney before. Daniel Day-Lewis on the other hand, I have not seen.
Some movies coming up soon and later this year that I definitely want to see: Penelope, The Other Boleyn Girl, Wanted, Dark Knight, 10,000 B.C., Get Smart, Iron Man, Indian Jones 4, Hancock, Harry Potter 6.
I've decided that one of my goals on my "list of things to do before I die" is going to attend an Oscar's show or just be on the red carpet. That'll be ultimate dream. Meeting celebrity after celebrity. Could you see me being a show correspondent? That'd be awesome.
On another note, what is wrong with the weather lately? It's on crack. Crazy storm on Saturday and I had to get home from work. Ugh.
So not looking forward to school lately. Nothing special is happening. I thought senior year was supposed to be fun! >:| The only class I seem to be doing well in is Chinese. I thought I was doing well in the middle of last week but then I got all my tests back and my confidence was immediately shot lol. Sadness. Well, I guess I'll just have to try harder.
