You know what really annoys me? How basically every movie out in theaters lately is based on a book. Are there no original people/ideas out there anymore? Don't get be wrong, many of them were VERY GOOD movies (i.e. Atonement, Into The Wild, Lust,Caution) but a lot of them aren't. Usually the sci-fi thrillers are the ones that disappoint. I mean freaking The Mist? That crap was horrible.
I've been doing quite well at school this semester so far. I haven't fallen asleep in class except for TWO times. I was exhausted from studying and such. I didn't realize how tired I would be as a result of tests, homework, work, and socializing. I mean, I knew it'd be a lot of work, but damn! Give a girl a break.
Grading forecast:
• CHINESE Hopefully I have an A, because I got As on both the vocab tests and a B on the grammar test. I've been doing much better in this class :)
• PHYSIO I completely bombed the little 20 question quiz we had last week because I literally forgot that we had a test! :O I haven't done that in a while...
• AP CALC I'm feeling semi-confident about the last test we took which is a nice change compared to my usual pessimism. Usually I'm just like, "Wow I completely failed that test." This time, I'm not TOO confident, but I think I did OK. I mean I know I didn't get an A, but I'll be very happy with a B or high C. That's kind of sad lol.
• LIT&PSYCH This class is surprisingly easy. I try to participate because I know that she grades heavily on participation. I've said a few things here and there. Hopefully she notices that I raise my hand and such. I might have a chance at getting an A.
• AP ECON This class...is ok. It's like usual. Just had a test today, it was kind of hard. I don't think I studied enough. I decided to sleep instead :\ Hopefully I'll be able to maintain a B AT LEAST.
Eating pasta with chopsticks. Ahh the joy.
I'm a little more than 400 pages into Crime & Punishment and we just started reading Death of a Salesman. I'm excited! I hope it's interesting. Although, I'm still looking forward to reading In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. That's the one I REALLY wanna read.
