Movie: Inception
The above is a gif I found on http://fuckyeainception.tumblr.com (How I love tumblr!) I wonder if it works here. Anyway I caught this yesterday. I'm sure there're a gazillion people talking about it on the net. Well, Inception DESERVES the attention its getting. It's so bloody awesome. I think this is my favourite Leonardo DiCaprio movie yet! (Before this was I think, Blood Diamond?) What I like most is the cinematography (I hope I get the right term.) From the awesome, breath-taking scenary/film locations, to the gravity-defying scenes shot at unique, built-from-scratch set, to the slo-mo, zoom in of intricate details, to the out-of-the-world, extraordinary, stranger than Alice in Wonderland architecture! (Oh I love the paradox, even though I knew about it before I even watched this show. XD) The plot is beyond excellent too. It seriously screws with your mind. You thought you knew but maybe you didn't (something like that in my case :P) or you thought it may not be but it is! It's just really mind-blowing. There're many interpretations and I particularly like one that I have read here.
I should go on and rave it but well, seriously everyone should watch it. I think it should be one of the films used as a teaching/studying material for Literature in future. XD I hope it tops Avatar's box office. I wanted to buy Avatar's DVD after I watched the movie, but when it came out, I changed my mind. But THIS, I'm definitely getting the DVD. Plus it's Leo DiCaprio, my favourite Western actor! :]
