When shouldn't I be doing something other than what I am doing?

I, just about half an hour ago, finally got out of my pajamas. (But I have done the dishes and scooped the cat boxes, so...it evens out.)

I've been having a lazy weekend. Playing games, watching old horror movies, new T.V. shows, playing with the cats. I haven't done any writing as of yet... I should make myself do some this evening; I keep tossing ideas and lines around in my head, so it's just a matter of pants to seat.

Trying to tell my brain that there's no reason for guilt feelings. I ran my ass off this last week and will be doing similar ass-running in the next couple of weeks.

In other news, I have a Slinky-cat on my lap right now, which is making it hard to type. (He keeps head butting my hands.) I think we haven't been paying enough attention to him lately. He's usually not one for the lap sits.

In writing related news, my submission to Glimmertrain was rejected. I expected it. Onward to deciding where else to send it.

Before this weekend is through, I plan to have a list of markets for both the aforementioned submission and for some Flash fictions I'd like to get out there. And maybe those submissions will take place this week. (Maybe not...depends on how my mind copes with work projects.)

Now, I'm off, because it's getting exceedingly more difficult to type around the cat.

weekends, life, publishing, writing
