this entry doesn't deserve a title

Life has been mighty adventuresome these past couple of weeks.

For a while I was working 60+ hours a week because work was giving out a $25.00 gift certificate for every 4 hours of OT I worked on top of the OT pay. I got $425.00 worth of gift cards to wherever I want. Pretty sweet. Its all going towards my new computer which I need because my laptop is on the blink. Turning off randomly and over heating and lagging and such. Sadly I can’t upgrade the laptop, cause upgrading it would cost just as much as getting a new computer.

This time I’m going to get me a desktop. I do love me lap top but the desk top would be easy as pie to upgrade/fix if needed.

Once I get its stats I’ll post em. So I have $150.00 in savings and then the $425.00 in gift cards so I’m about half way to my new compy.

Course all that OT really was very draining emotionally and physically. Working 14 hour days so I could still have a weekend was tough. But I did it. Sadly no more OT is being offered right now, though that is probably for the best.

I have been really stressed out due to that Dkun still does not have a job. Well a job that pays. He currently works for Penguin windows which has him wander around K-Mart and try to get people to sign up to win new windows for their house. It’s $15.00 an hour… when he gets hours. Unfortunately he is basically just on call for them, a bench warmer if you please, waiting for something to call in sick or not show up or something. So he has only been paid for going to their weekly meetings. Fortunately for this month he had been able to make rent due to the training and few hours they had him work, and next month he will be able to make rent because of his tax refund. But he really hasn’t been able to help with anything else, needing $$ for gas and such. I’m really depressed and stressed out about the whole thing. Yesterday he had a job interview, and he said that sometime this week he has an over the phone interview. He said if he doesn’t get anything this week he will try to work where I work which is hiring. The downside to him working where I work is that it is in Hillsboro and we live 1 ½ hours away in Albany.

The distance between home and work being such as it is during these times of high gas prices I got my schedule changed so that I work 7am-7:30pm Mon, Tue, and Wend. Less travel, and I just spend the night at Mom and Dad’s on Mon and Tue nights (since Mom and Dad live in Beaverton which is a half hour away)

Lets see what else has been going on…

Well last week Dkun and I went to see Frank Miller’s 300 which was very bloody but a very good movie. I bought us tickets to the midnight showing so we had some time to pass before the movie started. So we went to go play some pool. I gave the lady my debit card to start a tab and we got soda and the pool balls and played for probably an hour maybe two and the lady barwench came and found me and told me that she had just given my debit card to some random other customer who had told her it was hers. GREAT! We couldn’t find the lady who took my card at all. (good thing that I had already bought the movie tickets) We think that the lady had been drunk or something because she had left her driver’s license at the bar. So I called my bank and told the dumb foreign guy on the phone that I needed my debit card cancelled and a new card to be sent to me. It took me a half hour for the guy to understand that I didn’t want my account cancelled just the debit card. The guy was SO horrible I asked to speak to his manager to give his manager a piece of my mind about this guy’s customer service skills and lack of ability to speak English that the ass hung up on me. Not trusting that the idiot did what I asked I went into the bank the next day and the nice teller lady told me that the guy had indeed NOT cancelled my card or sent me a new one. She cancelled the card and reviewed the pending charges on it with me. Fortunately the drunk lady who stole my card didn’t try to use it and there were no invalid pending charges. The pool hall bar-wench didn’t charge me for our pool games or soda, and voided out the charges that the drunk lady had put on my card, and gave me a 10$ gift certificate due to her dumbassity (yes that is a technical term).

My adventure for today was me trying to take my damn truck into Cottman’s transmission to have them check out my transmission because two years ago I had the transmission rebuilt cause it was busted (paid $1,600 to do it) I also bought a three year warranty on the rebuilt transmission. In order for the warranty to not be voided I have to bring the truck back once a year to have them check out the transmission and make sure it is ok. So I called on Monday and set up an appointment to have the truck checked out today at 830 am (taking time off of work to do so) and instead of calling me to say Hey sorry we can’t get to your truck today due to a guy quitting yesterday can we reschedule for next Monday or Tuesday? They let me bring my sorry ass in and then told me, making me loose an hour of pay for nothing, in addition to the gas it took to drive my butt over there in the first place. I can’t wait until I don’t have to deal with those jackasses anymore. One time when I had to have my U-joints replaced one of their idiots put a BIG dent in my driveshaft. SO I had to bring my truck back and have them fix that (fortunately they didn’t charge me for it cause they were the ones that screwed it up!)

So now I’m supposed to call them in an hour or so and see if they can take my truck in or of I’ll have to reschedule for Monday or Tuesday after all. GRRRR.

I’m tempted to let the warranty lapse but then A: Dad would kick my ass and B: Something would probably happen to my tranny (because that is just how lucky a person I am).

So I’m tiered cranky and over all stressed out.

Things will get better and clear up I just have to be patient is all.
