The New Plan
So the new plan for this year is for me to continue to work where I am now that I have obtained the schedule that I want:
Mon 7:00am -7:30pm
Tue 7:00am -7:30pm
Wed 7:00am -7:30pm
Of course that is only 36 hours, so I do “overtime” and work until 9:30pm at least two of the days to make up the time. Though I’m working a little more on Thursdays due to the overtime promotion that they are offering, a $25.00 gift card to anywhere for every 4 hours of OT that I work. Very hard thing to pass up. So I’m working an extra 8-12 hours of OT a week. The promotion will only last through the end of February. I plan to get visa gift cards and use the money towards my new computer. I -need- a new one. My current lappy has decided that it is tiered of working and will randomly turn off amongst a host of other issues.
So my current work place plans on shutting down and laying everyone off in September. If I stay I will get a $1,000.00 bonus for staying. (It will end up being like $500 - $600 after taxes). I plan to try to go to school and finish up some classes at Lynn Benton Community College and then transfer to OSU in the winter term 08, or spring term 08. I plan to go to school full time when I’m at OSU and work part time. It will be student loans all the way for OSU. So I’m trying to finish paying off bills and such prior to going so all I’ll have to worry about bill wise is cell phone, gas, rent, food, utilities.
I’m very proud of myself. I’m down to 1 credit card, and what I owe Mom and Dad. I owe about $1,600.00 on the credit card and about $3,100.00 to Mom and Dad. I’m making payments of $305.00 a month to my parents so that should be taken care of within 10 months (if not sooner because I plan to give as much extra as I can) and the credit card one I’m trying to do about $125.00 a month (more when I can) and that will be gone in about 12 months.
I’m in the position I didn’t want to be in which is provider/head of house for Derald and myself. I’m paying all our bills and rent. My paying off my bills would go much faster if he had a job. That would be an extra $108.00 that I could throw at my parents and at my credit card. *sigh* I didn’t want to be in this position because I have to earn at least $10.00 an hour if not more. So finding a new job that will pay me that in the Albany area has been… problematic at best. Thus the new plan for now.
Things are looking better, though I am worried about the electric bill and the water bill. I’m expecting either to be shut off any day now. We paid up on our gas bill so that will be good for a while, and we shut off the cable/net to save that money and use it for other bills. I’m working overtime when I can to earn extra money, but I get tiered and it really isn’t fair to me to have to pay all the utilities with OT and to never be home to use them or relax due to me being at work. It makes me really angry.
I am being patient though. I don’t know what else I can be but patient, or at least try to be patient.
