La la la, snow!

So... we had a snowday. Yes.

And it was fantastic.

I'm really glad that we did, too- the valley floor got about three inches, which is a lot for them, but still. If we hadn't had a snowday, I would have been stuck up here until about 1:00. I'm not the best snow driver, and Dad could only get down the hill in the Four Runner, and that was in winter mode AND in low gear.

Dad's seriously an amazing snow driver. Growing up in Maine and all that whatnot.

But yeah. I suck. So... I was honestly bored out of my mind all day. I got up at five to check the school stuff, which was awesome, went back to bed, slept a bit, got up and stayed up at six-thirty. By eight I was having snowball fights with Alyssa, and by noon I had taken pictures of the pretty, built a snowman, had a snowball fight, tried to go sledding on the back side of the hill (half-hour walk, in the end), made hot apple cider, and spent two hours on Cardboardia.

And then I was bored out of my mind. Alyssa went over to Amanda's house, so... lonely me. D: I would have gone over to a friend's house if Mom hadn't stolen the Four Runner (the most snow-equipped car) and Dad hadn't taken my Volvo (the second best.) I was stuck with the Mercedes, which, when Dad took it for a test drive on one of the shallower hills on the backside of the mountain, could barely make it up.

However...

I MADE COOKIES.

Some Time Earlier Today that Wasn't Now:

Me: Hey, Dad?
Dad: Yeah.
Me: I sort of want to make cookies.
Dad: Yeah.
Me: Wanna drive me down the hill through the half-foot of snow so I can buy some Tollhouse?
Dad: No.
Me: Didn't think so.

*Five minutes later*

Dad: Well, you ready to go?
Me: What?
Dad: Cookies, Erin! Cookies!

So... I made cookies.
