Hello Morning - HaroMoni Academy English Lesson
This episode of Hello Morning is, I think, the most popular amongst the English speaking fans because in it the girls speak English (they try to anyway)! It's also very funny. I uploaded this episode for a while now and forgot about it so I think I better share it before the links expire.
I think this was one of the videos that started to change my impression on Morning Musume to "hey, they're not bad.. perhaps they're not just a bunch of underage girls in skimpy outfits running around on the stage". Seriously, I used to hold some kind of prejudice against them. I think a lot of people still do.
ANYWAY, what I'm trying to say is even if you're not a fan of Momusu you should give this one a watch, esp. if you love Japanese variety shows.
In this episode the Morning Musume girls have an English lesson over at Haromoni Academy. In the first segment they have to tell a story about a situation involving certain emotions and then re-tell it in English (with hilarious consequences). Then there's the word-sequence drawing competition where they have to draw things in English (did that make any sense?). Followed by a pun-competition, and the puns have to be English related -like shouting "Iyaaaa" while holding a plastic ear (geddit?). The usual skit and Maido Arii segments are somewhere in between.
