i can barely hear from my left ear. eh.
i saw donnie darko yesterday. it was pretty good. pretty confusing, though--i think i want to see it one more time now that i've reflected on it for a bit. i'm not sure of how i feel about its being confusing. for one thing, it makes it very mysterious and keeps you very interested in the puzzle, but it risks not making an effect. if it's too obscure, i'd say the movie fails. in this case, i made some comfortable sense of it, but i could not fit in many other details that were strongly suggested to be important or relevant to the puzzle. what makes me most uncomfortable about this is that i can't tell if they're supposed to do that or if they're just thrown in to enhance the mystery. the latter purpose just seems... like it would be wrong of the writer to do that. so i don't know if i should feel stupid or cheated.
so tonight i'll get to see kill bill, hopefully. shit, i still haven't done any work this whole weekend. it's sundayyyyyy...... tomorrow is a school day. bah.
