Oh, So Tired
Tonight was julbord (think smörgåsbord with Swedish Christmas food) and the Christmas show at school. I was there almost 12 hours today. I'm exhausted, but I had a great time. Tomorrow the students finish around lunchtime and then we (the personnel) will have a common coffee break in the afternoon, before we head off to various corners of Sweden to celebrate Christmas with our families.
Me, I'm staying alone home for Christmas. Well, the dog and I are staying home alone. My daughter wanted to come down from Gävle, but she's moving a couple of days after Christmas and she wasn't going to come all this way if I was the only one here... blah, blah, blah... and hubby is going down to Malmö to spend the holiday with his daughters and grandkids. There are several reasons that I am staying home; i.e., I only have 3 vacation days left, no one to look after the dog if we were both gone, and so forth. But, there is no need to feel bad for me, I will work, knit my fingers off and watch sappy holiday movies (ones that my husband doesn't enjoy), it will be great!
