American BBQ Reminder
For those of you in Sweden, this is a reminder that you are invited to my American BBQ.
The BBQ is set for July 14th. It will start at 13:00 (1:00PM). Everyone is invited! I live in Dalsland (5 hours from Stockholm, 2 hours from Gbg, 4½ hours from Malmö), so for most folks from further away it might be an overnighter. There is camping/youth hostel possiblities in the area. There are 10 rooms (2 beds in each room) available on site (school dorm) for 100 kr/person/night, children are half price. In the past, some folks have stayed for an extra few days to sightsee in the area. We are 15 minutes from the Norwegian border, 1 hour from Halden, Norway and 1 hour from the west coast of Sweden (i.e., Strömstad, Hamburgsund).
What to bring to the BBQ:
Meat (or whatever) to grill, for yourselves
Drinks, for yourselves
A dish to share (salad, dessert, chips, whatever)
I will provide grills, paper plates, cups, utensils and condiments (ketchup, mustard, etc.).
Please RSVP by Wednesday, July 11th.
If you are interested in the dorm accommodations or camping, etc., please PM or e-mail me and I will give you more detailed information. The dorm rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis.
P.S. We are arranging a dinner out on Friday night for those that plan on being here early. We can also work on a sightseeing trip on Sunday for those that will be spending Saturday night, if there is interest.
