Appreciation for innovation?

I came across this interesting article (Lessons from the Browser War) that discusses a study by a student Pai-Ling Yin, at Harvard Business School. I put this in my blog mainly for those who might not come across this on sites like slashdot etc where I found this :)

Yes, you have a good point when we refer to open src sw like FF.

But I was amused (in a cynical sense) to think that those who banked on their creativity to earn a living, have a lot of other aspects to learn as well :)

Excellent! I woulda loved to take that course! Here I audited a few classes of computational finance, but I couldn't keep up due to lack of time.

Do you have some online resources that I could check out?

I remember a few years ago, a company was born from one of your incubation labs - Purpleace.com. Do you know how it's doing? One of it's co-founders, Brojo Pillai was my senior in school.

Computational Finance? Is that the same as what we're discussing?
It's somewhat similar as it details techniques on estimating the future value of a company, but it's more focussed toward evaluation of stocks, shares etc.,

It doesn't detail the VC process.
