So, a week or so ago I finally hit on a couple tattoo ideas that I could get behind. I've been wanting a tattoo of some kind for like, fifteen years, but I've been determined to not a) get something I'd likely see on someone else and b) get something that I could see myself being tired of in anything less than fifty years, if ever. So it had to be something at least fairly unique and very much ME. Well, the winner was the Rochefoucauld maxim "Courage is doing without witnesses that which we would be capable of doing with the world watching" followed very closely behind by "...six impossible thing before breakfast." Both fairly unique, very much ME, and all text, thus likely not too expensive.
Well, that's what I thought. Turns out even with just text, the first one would be between $500 and $700. Seeing as currently I'm barely making enough to cover my living expenses and the VERY occasional indulgence, that's way the fuck out of my price range. It's way the fuck out of my price range for like, oh, about FIVE YEARS at this rate.
Unhappy.
