it's me!!

i bet you all missed me.

i can't even remember what my last entry was about actually. so here's a recap of the summer thus far. spend too much time and money going out in NYC and at yankee games, went out to long island for a few days for boating, etc., working all the time.

work kinda sucks so far cause we haven't had a lot of good beach days. as most of you know, the restaraunt i waitress at is outdoor and on the beach, so it is completely weather dependent. if there is so much as one lightning bolt across the sky we have to close. mother nature has not been kind to those of us that want to make some money quite yet.

while in long island my crazy grandmother gave me $500 for graduation. dispite my grandfather and i explaining to her for twenty minutes that i did NOT, in fact, graduate, she insisted on me taking it now so she wouldn't forget next year. she's also started buying spaghetti sauce in a jar, so i'm gonna chalk this business up to her being old. hey, it helped me make a credit card payment at least.

jackie graduates high school next week, provided she passes her exams of course. we are very excited, as we realize this may be the only thing she ever 'graduates' from. since the community college doesn't 'graduate' people after two years. where did she come from? this means dad is coming to town though and he's taking us to the yankees/mets game where he can pay for my beers and i can actually leave there with money in my pocket...thank god.

my bday is tomorrow...yaaaaaay!! i will be arriving at work at 4 after a few cocktails and getting drunker throughout the night while still attempting to wait tables...should be interesting.

well i'm off and running here on my day off...i'm going to the post office to apply for a passport now...woo. i've been planning a 3 month backpacking extravaganza through europe next summer all along so i'll need it for that...also, john has decided that rather than get a job now that he has graduated, he wants to live in china for a year and learn mandarin...and since we all know how high maintenance he is (haha), he will be expecting me to visit. granted, it's an excuse to go to china with someone that will (hopefully) know enough chinese to get around but it's a wee bit expensive...especially over winter break. boo.

ok kids, talk to oyu sooon. heart!
