Good news!
My dad had major surgery last month and it was touch and go for a bit (on more than one occation) but he is on the road to recovery and is being allowed to leave the hospital tomorrow! After 4 weeks :) I cannot believe it. Am very happy, he is doing so well.
I dont ever want to go through that again. Horrible. But the family really gathered around and it was interesting to see that we all stepped up and came together. Now the long road of recovery starts at home. But he made it home, and we are very thankful for that. One step at a time!
I have also been off work now for 4 weeks and have this last one off as well. I will need to return on Monday though. I am kind of looking forward to getting my life back. I have been letting my mom live at my place for this whole time and I have been commuting back and forth instead. So I get my home back, and I feel like my life back too. Yeah.
