I am so excited.
Something that I have been dreaming about since middle school is thisclose to happening.
I AM GOING TO FRANCE!
The tickets have been bought and reservations are being made, thanks to ma tante. And to top it all off, Chelsea called me today. She is cold there at the base of the Alps, but her host family is wonderful. The more she talked, the more I felt on the verge of doing a crazy jump a la Tom Cruise, or jig a la Ashlee Simpson.
Here's the brief outline for my trip:
Saturday, March 11th @ 6:45 p.m., we fly out of Intercontinental. It's a direct flight.
We will arrive in Paris at 10:45 a.m.
Then, we will take a 3-4 hour train ride to go see Chelsea for a couple of days in Grenoble.
Afterwards, hopefully with Chelsea in tow, we will head back to Paris to spend the rest of our trip. We'll be staying at hotel close to Montmarte (if you've seen Amelie, it's the same park that she went to go return that scrapbook to her man).
We fly home that Saturday and arrive back in Texas @ 11:40 p.m after a layover in Newark, New Jersey.
I hit the outlet mall and Target today to pick up some cold weather clearance tops. I'm only allowed one suitcase and one carry-on bag per my aunt. Since we'll be dragging our things on and off trains, it is going to KILL me to only be able to bring one bag. Merde!
I canNOT even explain how excited I am.
Scott's not going, but then, he isn't really a traveling kind of guy. I won't repeat his comments about the French, but let's just say je pense that it is best his ass stays home. ;o)
Tomorrow, I have an appointment to get my passport submitted.
I AM SO EXCITED!!
