Ugh! My iBook is dying!
My iBook all of a sudden started freaking out yesterday. The left and right arrows, the n key, and a few others ceased to produce what they are supposed to. Now, the return key, the dash key, the escape key, and others are funky. Apparently, this problem is not uncommon. It does mean replacing the keyboard altogether. Thankfully, I am still covered by Applecare warranty. Unfortunately, it does entail spending what will likely be a significant amount of time (on my one day off) at the Apple Genius Bar or on the phone with Applecare Tech as well as potentially giving up my computer when I am least able to part with it due to pressing deadlines. This sucks. And it better not cost me money. Or mean having to replace the laptop. And of course, Murphy's Law holds true. Just two days ago, I'd placed an order for memory upgrade for this iBook.
