I love what you did with this tut but when I tried it I dont know where I stuffed up but I didnt get the effect that you did...back to trying again I think.
Would it help if i upload the psd? You can't get the same coloring with all icons (like my examples ^^) my advice is to play around with the opacity levels on the SC layers/curves and such. Your icon has a lot of blue, so maybe take off the exclusion layer and reduce the settings for the neutral in SC. Let me know if these help;)
