Just to let you know, my Mastermind semi-final is broadcast on Fri 11th March. It's on BBC2 at 8.00pm.

My specialist subject is Butch Cassidy.

The fifth of November is when my first round heat of Mastermind is broadcast.

That's this Friday, the fifth, on BBC2 at 8.00pm. My specialist subject is the life and career of Josephine Baker.

It's been a frustrating few days for trying to get across the Peak District. I was going to Manchester on Thursday, and got a phone call in the morning to say that there was a rumour that the Snake Pass was closed, due to a landslide. Well, I enjoyed myself so much taking part in Mastermind a couple of years ago. that I applied to have another go. I had an audition - here in Sheffield for once - Friday before last, and got a call back last Friday.

Just to jog your memories: i'm on Mastermind tonight, BBC2 at 7:30. It's the first of the semi-finals.

I should be getting copies burned onto disks along with the first show, so I can send copies to anyone living overseas who'd like to see them. My first specialized subject was The Romney Marsh novels of Monica Edwards, and this time it's Blakes 7

My appearance on Mastermind is broadcast on a Friday night, which is, of course, pub night. Now the Hillsborough Hotel has a telly in the room where we usually sit, so I spoke to them about showing Mastermind.

Had a letter from the BBC this morning, giving the date of broadcast of my first Mastermind round. The next season of Mastermind is being broadcast on a Friday, for some reason, instead of the more usual Monday or Tuesday.
