(no subject)
Last night I was coming home around 9pm and when I got off the 8 W at Sports Arena Blvd there were Sheriffs (Or CHP) standing there and immediately redirecting all the cars back onto the 8 E. All I got was a quick look down the road, and I didn't see any accidents but the whole area was completely empty of cars. I ended up having to go up, get off at Taylor, hop back on the 8 W again and got off at Nimitz instead.
I Googled when I got home but couldn't come up with anything and I missed the news last night. Googling today still gets me nothing related. Does anyone know why they had it shut down like that? Would have been nice if they had just closed the offramp altogether, saving us all from having to take that big circular detour.
