2017 was quite an exciting year for me, though kinda meh in some parts, especially my social life. I'm thankful that is starting to improve.
Regarding the Christmas and New Year holidays...let's just say that I almost got carried away with my finances, but hey. I was in the spirit of giving on a budget, even when it came to shipping gift packages to a couple of people that I know--I hope they get it without too many problems.
Ugh...the last minute shopping was crazy, SO crazy that I witnessed a purse snatching theft/chase in progress inside Walmart of all places! Not just that, but one of the shopping plazas was so crowded that it took me almost 12 minutes to make that left turn. That taught me one lesson I'll never forget: Start Christmas shopping early.
But since it's already 2018, let's talk about that.
It turns out that I have a lot of goals and challenges I need to accomplish by the end of the year. The lifetime bucket list does not count since I have so much that I wanted to do on that thing.
One of these goals is continuing to find my own style in my art, and I know how hard that can be sometimes. All that's needed for me to do is try to draw every single day and the style will be found throughout the year. The same can be said for graphic designing and digital art. I suppose working on shades of coloring counts, too, especially when it comes to coloring skin tones with markers.
Another is writing more, especially when it comes to comic book writing and book reviews. I want to at least write and revise one book review per month, regardless of what book it is.
And one of the most important goals for me in 2018 is to keep working on the self-care regiment in every way, shape, and form. Speaking of such, I am actually looking forward to going to the doctor this coming Thursday. I'm happy about that.
Before I go, I know there is someone that I know who wanted me to show my art. I only have one, but I end up liking it enough to post it here.
For you,
milkymao :)
