As folks might be aware, I live in a Hudson Valley High Ranch, sort of a regional kind of Split Level ranch. Short version, no basement, and the lower level is on the concrete slab and dug into the hillside that saved us from flooding during recent storms, including Sandy. But that means the lower level, with forced air heating, is generally cool
