Party's over and you don't look so good.

It wasn't that hard to fall asleep, even though John still felt like he was coming off some sort of bizarre high. Everything was too loud, too bright, too much, and he had to lean on Allison just to make it from the kitchen to the bedroom.

It didn't feel like a nightmare. That was the first thing. Everything was kind of surreal and vague but it felt more like a memory than a dream.

Allison was bleeding and shivering and John was screaming as his mother that they had to help her, they couldn't just leave her there, while trying to keep Allison awake because she was going into shock.

Machines can't go into shock, she's rebooting...

But there was blood on his hands and John told his mother that machines couldn't bleed either.

He couldn't hear what Sarah said in response.

There were rooms and rooms and rooms full of dust and old smoke and metal. He woke up on a bed in a place he didn't recognize and he could barely stand. The door was open but the rest of the hall was empty. There was one other room and Allison was asleep in a bed with an IV in her arm and he tried to wake her up but he couldn't wake her up and he couldn't stay awake so he just stopped there on the floor.

The next time he woke up he was alone and the door was locked.

She was an infiltrator. I'm reprogramming her but that takes time.

John shook his head. "You keep saying that, but I'm telling you that's impossible! She was just a friend from school, it was a coincidence! We should take her to a hospital." Sarah just looked disappointed and pushed the needle into his arm.

You need to understand. I'm doing this for you. You have to pay attention.

His mouth felt like it was full of cotton and chalk and John woke up in a cold sweat.
