I love Miniatures, I always loved reading The Borrowers by Mary Norton, and loved the TV series. I think it also helped watching Land of the Giants too, I have a fascination for tiny things, anything miniaturised. So it makes sense for me to collect dolls house miniatures and want to complete my own dolls house. I have lots of little mini’s tucked

What a delight to see that you might be doing the Borrowers!

Could an oil burner with tea light be used as a cooker of some sort? Or a tea light beneath a flat metal grille that pans can go on top of?

Or perhaps you could rig up an electric one of your own, with a tiny electric element. The original Borrowers didn't have the option of such high-tech stuff, but their descendants presumably have all the mod cons...

Thanks Martha, excellent ideas! I do love the idea of a oil burner being used as a cooker, and there are lots of different designs to choose from, so hopefully could find something to suit. As well as a tealight underneath a flat metal grille for pans is also a great idea. I just worry what I can get to hold it up with. I don't think I quite have Pod's ability of invention! I need practice!

I am managing to put together a writing journal from scraps of a brown envelope torn up, with a feater quill, I'm just trying to work out what to use as an ink pot, something small enough, but also something that can be sealed so that the ink doesn't dry up!
