Because I've seen it on my flist and figured it was a good braintease.
I often say I'm a writer, not an author. I write because I can't help myself. I need to write.
Don't know if anyone's gonna be interested in this, but I am. I think the questions are interesting for me, to figure some stuff out for myself. If anyone else wants to join the fun, you

For my actual published fics, I take a different approach and rarely involve my own characters. I guess that I'm afraid that my characters would be too Mary Sueish, etc and they're mine you know? I don't want people to say bad things about them.
As you know, I'm currently writing a post S5 fic and like every other fic that I put on the 'net--I'm shit scared that people don't like it. On fanfic.net oddly enough, people seem to like it but don't review that often. Also, a lot of people have seen the story as something from Dean's POV when really it's from both boys' POVs.
I know what you're saying about getting people to read because I don't care really but when I post a story and don't get a response within a day or two, I get so nervous and start thinking of taking the story down. But then I think screw it! I wrote this story for my pleasure and I honestly don't care who reads it or not.

I don't post for me. I don't write for me (usually).
I spend hours daydreaming. That's for me.
Writing is hard work, and my pay is comments. But that's just me.

I totally agree but I think that if I waited for my fics to be read, I wouldn't be writing more stories *sighs*

It's kinda the difference between a writer and a story teller. I like weaving the story and seeing the reaction. I like to see if people realized I'm dropping little hints here and there, or if something makes them laugh or cry.
The best thing of all? It's when they ask for more.
(and it is an awesome icon! ;))
