They both have changed through the years. It's something Jenny realizes the moment she catches her gaze across the room. Accidental but welcoming. She watches as Blair's eyes flicker over her form with strange bashfulness. The blonde raises an eyebrow in question and Blair looks away.
She's heard things from the others--that things have happened, things that have changed everything and Jenny's a bit irritated she hadn't been there for it. Though Blair's gesture seems unnatural and so not Blair, Jenny notes the confident way the former Queen raises her head, the blunt words and smug looks. And then Jenny crosses her ankles, arms at her sides and shoulders hunched and she knows she hasn't changed completely either.
Jenny catches Blair alone later, in the empty living room, matching furniture and cool, mid-tone colors. Middle ground, Jenny thinks as she steps closer and Blair doesn't make a move to stop her.
Kissing her feels like holding a fragile doll, because somehow they're both so delicate right now, like at crossroads and still undeceive, scared. Jenny smiles into the chaste kiss, running a hand through Blair's hair gently.
Pulling away, Jenny swears there are matching scratches on their glass hearts, somewhere beneath the exterior of their chests.
