Well I am back home from the hospital, minus one gall bladder and what were apparently many and biggish stones (however what scale of biggish I have no idea). I don't get to bring them home in a jar though as they were all broken up to fit the lot through the little keyhole. I have four dainty little incisions and the camera went in the navel one. Well it's a positive on the gallstones diagnosis - slightly to my surprise. Now I have to hurry up and wait for another consult with the surgeon. Just in case I am planning to start pumping the milk again and build up a freezer stock, although the way the wheels of the Irish health system grind Baby Boy may be well weaned before anything happens ( Read more... )
